Between the three Applied Computing programs that have a Capstone course, a total of 34 teams presented Capstone projects at Applied Computing Capstone Showcases in December 2019.
Capstone Projects are curriculum-based research and represent the cumulative work of students in the final semester or year of their programs. Students team up and each team is provided with a real-world business problem to solve, drawing upon the skills and knowledge they’ve gained throughout their program in order to provide a solution.

CST – Systems Analyst Program

This year, there were a total of 15 Systems Analyst projects completed by students at both the Trafalgar and Davis campuses. The top three projects were determined by faculty, and those teams were invited to present at the annual Systems Analyst Capstone Competition, a significant milestone that showcases their remarkable work.
All teams should be extremely proud of their accomplishments having worked tirelessly to overcome the inherent challenges faced when working on these types of projects. Adjudicated by a panel of four industry professionals, the judges were truly impressed with the student’s professionalism, knowledge, skills and their quality of work.
A sincere thank you to the outstanding faculty members who supported the students through their learning journey. And a special shout-out to the administrative staff who planned and organized the Capstone event.

Software Development Network Engineering AND Mobile Computing

This year’s Applied Computing Capstone Showcase brought 14 Software Development Network Engineering projects and 5 Mobile Computing Degree projects.
Software Development Network Engineering and Mobile Degree students presented their work to a lively and excited crowd of students, professors, administrators, and guests from industry. Both cohorts worked very hard all year, and the results of their efforts were nothing short of spectacular. We’re very proud of each and every team, and we wish all members of our graduating classes continued success.
