The purpose of this report is to give an overview of the projects completed during Fall placement at Sun Chemical Ltd. The projects were about Health and Safety aspects related to Asbestos awareness, Respirator use and fit testing, updating US OSHA based chemical lab hygiene plan and hearing conservation program plan as per the Canadian regulations.
- Project features
This project involved researching Canadian Occupational Health and Safety Regulations related to Asbestos-a designated substance, voluntary use of respirators during work, Chemical Lab safety protocols and Hearing conservation program in Ontario. Additional tasks during this placement included reviewing metal waste disposal plan, site visit and reading reports provided related to a Phase I, II and Geotechnical survey regarding an Owned facility for sale in Alberta.
An internal annual assessment plan was prepared to inspect asbestos’ conditions and a presentation for asbestos awareness training was made for staff members.
